Homework 9/4

Today in class we began making oil paint for our next paintings!! You were given 32 paint tubes and a dust mask today. Please use your supplies wisely. :) After filling your tubes squish ALL of the excess air OUT and close WELL so your paints do not dry out! :)

Remember your paint before mulling (if you are mulling) should be the consistency of STIFF peanut butter!! It will thin out the more you work it!

Also, if you want to add wax you can use warm wax ("peas"), pre-made paste, or homemade wax paste w/ Damar varnish in it. You will ONLY need this in certain pigments that do not want to bind.

Let me know if you are having any problems! Bring your paints, primed support (MINIMUM 18" x 24"!!!) & painting supplies and be ready to work on monday!!
