Singer Sargent created a tonal brilliance that allowed for spectators to become flooded by the consciousness of the egyptian woman. The darkness within this piece suggests the woman may find solace within the dark. His painting technique is very effective in my opinion of portraying not only her personality but her instinctual presence.
Vincent Romero's craftsmanship created a radiation of defying possibilities. It seems to me within the depth of color and light this piece has more personality than the last. This woman is painted monotone  black and white while her mask that shades her identity is in color. He allows for her body to be lost in the mist while we wonder about her identity. Well done in my opinion.
