Find four examples of figurative paintings that you feel show strong NARRATIVE and COMPOSITION. Post ONE  (along with the TITLE, ARTIST, DATE, MEDIUM, DIMENSIONS) and answer the following questions:

1. What is the narrative being presented and is there a particular audience being considered?
2. Is this narrative engaging or innovative (or told in a new or innovative way)? Do YOU care to invest time in this storyline? What could be done to strengthen this narrative?
3. How strong are the formal elements in the composition/ figure? What works/ does not work and WHY?
