I was looking up self-portraits and I found something that I think is super interesting.
Have you heard of Bryan Sauders? ...me neither. Anyway, he does a self portrait everyday to see how his perception of himself changes. He decided to see what would happen when he painted under the influence of various drugs. The results are crazy! Check it out.http://bryanlewissaunders.org/drugs/
