  1. Within comparison i think that you were able to portray the same style in your study. The palette and brush strokes are depicted well. The only thing that could make your study become more successful would be some blue that is used in the master copy.

  2. I have only seen a few images by your artist, they have a definite style that you managed to capture in the copy. While I think both images work well together I'm not sure it reads as the same artist to me. I guess the study feels like it should be more stylized based off of her work that I've seen. I really like your color choice, the hair works well against the skin of the study.

  3. The paint looks like watercolor to me, I like it. I think the skin tone variation could be exaggerated more in your study. The skin on Justin B. has areas of bright orange and some highlighted areas of blue. Justin T.doesn't have that variation so much, but you did a good job!

  4. These definitely look like they came from the same studio. It's interesting that Peyton uses so much color for Justin Bieber's hair. In her other paintings, it seems like she mostly stuck with the celebrities natural hair color or exaggerated it with thick brushstrokes or brighter reds like in Van Goh. Looking at her Prince William & Prince Harry painting I can definitely see the resemblance in this copy and study. Just looking at a few of her paintings, I would say that your study would match what she is doing now.

  5. I find it really ironic and quite funny that you decided to paint both celebrity Justins that sing. I feel something is a little off in making them to be by the same artist/series, I think it's just the color choice in your study. I feel like Justin T's hair could incorporate maybe more blues and browns so his hair isn't so purple. I think I'd like to see a little more variation of color also just in his tux. I'm not sure how you did it, but these do really look like they're made out of watercolor which is quite fascinating to know they aren't. Very impressive.

  6. I also like your use of the medium and creating this water effect. I think the blues could Definitely be brought out more in JT but it would still work for me if it wasn't. I like the pop culture and feel like that added to the overall unity of the two pieces. I enjoyed the pallet in them both and I think you did very well at creating a work that flowed well with your master. Good job!

  7. making the tempera look like watercolor looks very good in your master copy. there are proportional discrepancies in your master study but at the same time i dont think that is too important since you captured the impression of justin timberlake instead of attempting a realistic portrait and i think that can be much more powerful

  8. I think that your color choices were good in your study, maybe a bit more variation would help? especially in the hair. For me I think that you should have either zoomed in more or zoomed out more in your study. It feels like his head is getting a bit chopped off which really hurts the composition in my mind.

  9. I think you did a good job of picking a very similar color palate. I agree with James and think you should have zoomed in on JT's face, to make it more similar to the one of JB. I think you did an excellent job portraying the egg tempera as watercolor, especially because I hated them. great job!
